"FRQ FRIDAY"
1. DO NOW: Prep for Timed Writing Practice
2. FRQ Planning & Specific Historical Skill Analysis from one of the released FRQ set of prompts from 2002, 2003, 2004, or 2005.
Students will have the entire period to write out a plan. 
Thesis Statement for each question.
DBQ: Thesis, Grouping, Analysis, POVs, Additional Documents, Evidence, Context.
CCOT: Thesis, Continuities AND Changes, Evidence, World Historical Context.
COMPARATIVE: Thesis, Analysis, Evidence, Planning.

NEXT WEEK: Be prepared to review Units 3 & 4. These are two of the toughest and most densely packed units. So this is a big week!

* To consider, through the examples of India and South Africa, how the process of decolonization worked
* To examine the challenges that faced developing nations in the second half of the twentieth century
* To investigate the potential clash of tradition with modernity in the developing nations, especially considering the case of Islam in Turkey and Iran

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
1.   In what ways did the colonial experience and the struggle for independence shape the agenda of developing countries in the second half of the twentieth century?
